Stock Extra Old – many years of excellence
As is appropriate for a spirit with tradition, Stock XO brandy has to mature for a long time before it is eventually poured into a glass. To this end, it is aged for a minimum of 8 years in burned oak barrels which give it the specific hint of smoked wood.
Stock XO "Extra Old" is a brandy whose maturation process lasts for at least 8 years before it can be poured. The brandy liquid is aged in burned barrels made of oak from sunny climates. The required colour can only be achieved by using such wood.
The ageing of the brandy in burned oak controls and limits contact with air and enables the alcohol liquid to mellow. Whilst maturing in the cool cellars, the brandy acquires clarity, the initial raw flavour becomes refined and the colour slowly achieves a unique caramel hue.
Stock XO is best enjoyed when served at a temperature of 16oC and poured into a brandy glass. Then it can be gently warmed whilst holding the glass in the palm of the hand. This brings out the whole range of its flavour characteristics: mature, robust, yet delicate and meticulously refined. A sip of this brandy will ensure a moment of relaxation and ease after a long day.
Brandy should be savoured, sipped and enjoyed for its richness. Take a sip of Stock XO and enjoy the refined aftertaste of burned wood and bitter-sweet fruit flavours.
Stock XO will appear on shop shelves in May.
