Further industry award success for Stock Spirits Group

Stock Spirits Group (SSG), Central Europe’s leading branded spirits and liqueurs business, is proud to announce that eight of its brands have received industry recognition at the International Taste & Quality Institute (iTQi) awards in Brussels.

SSG’s awards were all 2** and included an award for Stock XO, a premium brandy which is produced by distilling wine from carefully selected grapes followed by a long maturation in oak casks of a minimum of 8 years. One of SSG’s newest launches, Fernet Stock Z Generation in the Czech Republic, was also amongst the award winners. As the latest product in the Fernet Stock bitters range, Fernet Stock Z Generation delivers a new taste dimension to traditional bitters, combining fernet herbs with ginger and mango. Other brands to receive recognition included; Limonce Amaro bitter, Orzel vodka, Keglevich Blood Orange all sold in the Italian market, as well as Božkov Spiced and Magister Bohem sold in the Czech Republic and Stock Prestige vodka produced in Poland.

Regarded as the leading independent Chef and Sommelier-based organisation dedicated to judging, honouring and promoting superior tasting food and drink from around the world, the iTQi Superior Taste Awards deliver an internationally recognised expert assessment. The iTQi judging is conducted on a strictly "blind" basis, thus eliminating any influence of packaging or product identification - resulting in a truly independent and pure assessment based on the following five criteria: visual aspect, aroma, taste, texture and overall evaluation.

Commenting on the win Chris Heath, CEO of Stock Spirits Group said:

"It is once again pleasing to see our operations in Poland, Italy, and Czech Republic share out the awards, demonstrating our strength across the region. The fact that our brands continue to excel in blind tasting competitions is also very reassuring and confirms our ethos of delivering the very best quality liquids to our consumers at a competitive price."
