About Us

STOCK POLSKA HAS BEEN A PART OF THE STOCK SPIRITS GROUP SINCE 2007.

Our company is an important part of the Stock Spirits Group. We are well known for our vodka-based flavoured liqueurs, including Żołądkowa Gorzka and the Lubelska brand range, as well as for our exciting portfolio of clear vodkas: Żołądkowa de Luxe, Stock Prestige, Orkisz, Żubr and 1906.

Many of our brands and products have received international awards and they are behind our success in the Polish market as well as within Stock Spirits Group itself.

History

The history of our company dates back to 1906, when Emil Plage, a well-known industrialist and visionary from Lublin, decided to establish the first spirit distillery in his town. Those were the origins of Polmos Lublin, known today as Stock Polska.

Contributing to the company’s success was not only the innovativeness of its founder, but also the professionalism and commitment of its employees. It was the loyalty and passion of its people that helped the company survive the turbulent times of two world wars. As it turned out, however, trouble still lay ahead of Polmos Lublin, with the post-war Poland undergoing ownership changes.

In the course of the nationalisation of private manufacturers, the National Alcohol Monopoly (Państwowy Monopol Spirytusowy) took over the property belonging to the Lublin distillery in 1951, its fate soon to be shared by every other company in the industry. The result of the ownership changes was that for almost fifty years the company from Lublin was managed by the government, namely by Państwowe Przedsiębiorstwo Przemysłu Spirytusowego “Polmos”.

Only after 1998, following political transformation, Polmos Lublin was restructured as a joint-stock company with the State Treasury as its shareholder, and later privatised. In 2007 the company joined the international corporation Stock Spirits Group. Another vital step in terms of the global growth was the decision to float Stock Spirits Group on the London Stock Exchange in 2013.

Lublin is where the company’s heart has beaten from the very beginning, and this is where the spirit production technology originates from, ensuring Stock Polska a strong position on the market. Combining tradition with modern international standards, the company today is the leader on the flavoured vodka-based liquor market and comes second in the category of clear vodkas.

What makes Stock Polska stand out is a rich portfolio of quality products. Our flagship brands have been brand leaders for years, not only earning acclaim from Polish consumers, but also winning a large number of prestigious international competitions. Stock Polska specialises in both flavoured vodka-based liquors such as Żołądkowa Gorzka and Lubelskie, and the fast-growing portfolio of clear vodkas, including Żołądkowa de Luxe, Stock Prestige, Amundsen, Orkisz as well as Żubr and 1906. Our portfolio also includes liqueurs and brandy. As a leader in innovation, we continue to expand our range of products, not only responding to current consumer needs, but also creating new trends on the alcohol market.
